FAQs

If you've any questions about working at Clarks, the application or the recruitment process, we're only too happy to answer it. But to help, we've put together answers to some of the questions we get asked most frequently.

Working at Clarks

Where will I be working?

As a growing global business, we have employees based all over the world, including across Europe, Asia Pacific and the USA and Canada. However, the majority of our 13,000 employees are based in the UK – either in one of our stores, distribution centres or in our Head Office located in Street, Somerset.

Some of the places we operate are run by one of our franchise partners, a distributor, agent or joint venture partner and people in those locations work directly for our partners. That’s why during the application process, we ask if you’re happy for your recruitment details to be passed to our partner organisations.

Please be advised that all vacancies will include the location of employment on the job adverts.

Do I need a valid work permit?

To be offered a job with Clarks, you must have the legal right to work in the country you have applied for. This will be checked during the recruitment process. If you have been selected to attend an interview or assessment, please ensure that you bring valid evidence of your Right to Work. Typically, we would expect to see a Passport or Birth Certificate.

Do you offer relocation assistance?

Relocation assistance is dependent on role and location, and this will be discussed during the pre-interview screening process.

Do you offer work experience opportunities?

We have excellent links with local schools and colleges, and we take a number of work experience students from them every year. This does however limit the number of individual requests we are able to offer.

Do you run a Graduate Recruitment Programme?

We currently do not run a Graduate recruitment programme however, we welcome applications from graduates. We recruit graduates into all sorts of entry-level roles right across our global business.

Do you accept applications from recruitment agencies?

Our experienced, in-house recruitment team currently recruit 90% of our roles directly. On occasion, we know that we need help to source candidates, and turn to one of our specialised recruitment agency partners. Please be advised that we do have a list of preferred specialist suppliers.
